Highlights of some recently completed projects include: - 300-Ton Chiller Replacement Project, East Point, GA – Contract amount approximately $338,014. Replaced an existing chiller inside of an operating telephone exchange building. - New Warehouse Facility in Coweta County, GA. 60,000 SQUARE FEET Building Addition. Approximate Contract amount $ 3,600,000. Project consisted of the construction of a pre-engineered metal building and all associated work. July 1996 – December 2000: Project Manager and Estimator for Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, Inc. Duties include management of JLJ project managers on a day to day basis, purchasing of JLJ corporate insurances, oversight of office administrative personnel, business development, and contract negations with owners. January 2001 – October 2013: Vice President of Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, Inc. Duties included hiring, development of key personnel, purchasing of JLJ corporate insurance, and project management of selected projects. Highlights of some recently completed projects include: Generator & UPS Replacement Project, Atlanta, GA – Contract Amount approximately $25M Replaced three existing 2.5 megawatt generators with four 3 megawatt generators including all associated switchgear, HVAC, and controls work. Required a small addition to the existing generator facility. Replaced three existing 1,000 kVa Rotary UPS systems with three 1,000 kVa Static UPS systems. Capacity Upgrades Project, Birmingham, AL – Contract Amount approximately $48M Installed new three 2 megawatt generators. Installed static UPS systems with 10 megawatts of capacity. Replaced existing chillers. Installed new chillers. Created primary and secondary chilled water system. Renovated various aspects of existing data center space. Renovated the first floor to create a high-density data floor. July 1996 – December 2000: Field Superintendent for Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, Inc. Duties included coordination of trades, project scheduling, correspondence with owners and design teams, value engineering, RFI’s, field payroll, tracking change orders and estimating. The vast majority of the projects were telecommunications / data center renovations ranging from $5,000 up to $5M. August 1990 – July 1996: Assistant Superintendent for Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, Inc. Duties included all jobsite paperwork which consisted of payroll, receiving tickets, RFI’s, change orders, method of procedures, and schedule development using Finest Hour. The entire six years was spent in one facility, assisting with the complete renovation of a 20-story telecommunications / data center which included complete replacement of the existing chilled water system, new UPS system and associated distribution, complete conversion from 120v lighting to 277v lighting, modifications to the emergency generator system including controls, renovation to passenger and freight elevators including conversion from fuse/relay to electronic controls, complete DDC system conversion from a pneumatic to electronic system as well as many renovations to existing telecommunications / data center space. The renovations exceeded $40M.

Duties include estimating, negotiating, purchasing and supervision of all phases of building additions and renovation projects ranging from $5,000 to $10,000,000. October 1993 – November 2003: Apprentice Electrician until completion of apprenticeship program in June 2000. Worked as a journeyman wireman in telecommunications facilities until taking a project management’s position with Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, Inc.     General Superintendent

    Bryan Ball is the General Superintendent at Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, starting with the company in 1993 as a Field Superintendent. Bryan started his construction career immediately after graduating high school in 1980 and has built a reputation for being dependable, conscientious, and attentive. He joined the Carpenters Union Local 1352 to complete apprenticeship training and obtain his journeyman’s card (1980-1984). Before working for JLJ, Bryan worked for an interior drywall and ceiling company for nine years, performing much of JLJ’s work. Bryan enjoys spending time with his wife and three adult children. He also enjoys cooking, sports, traveling, golf, and fishing whenever the opportunities arise.

    Scott Herring is a Senior Project Manager at Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, working in the leadership role since 2009. Scott is a 2004 Georgia Institute of Technology graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction. As one of Scott’s premier accomplishments, he implemented a target emissions reduction plan that reduced Jerry L Johnson’s carbon footprint year-over-year for ten consecutive years. Outside of work, he enjoys art, fitness, spending time outdoors, and hiking.

    Brad Cobb is a Senior Project Manager at Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, getting his start in the contractor business in 1988 working as a Laborer at JLJ. Brad attended Georgia State University and completed his JATC electrical apprenticeship with IBEW LU 613 in Atlanta from 1991-1995. In Brad’s free time, he enjoys working out and volunteering to serve the disabled community. He’s married and raising four beautiful children, one of whom is autistic.

    Tony Scarselletta is a Senior Project Manager at Jerry L. Johnson & Associates, serving various clients in the mission-critical space. He is an engineer at heart, bringing technical savvy and an eye for detail to all his projects. After graduating with a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UNC Charlotte in 2006, Tony began his career as an engineer working on various projects up and down the east coast. Eventually, Tony settled in Atlanta, GA. He was drawn to the excitement of construction and the satisfaction of seeing projects go from a blueprint to a finished product. Tony likes a challenge and thrives when working alongside the project team, whether in a chiller plant or a conference room. He is an ASHRAE member, and outside of work, Tony is a devoted husband and father, volunteers in the community, and enjoys watching college basketball.

    Kevin Beck is a Senior Project Manager at Jerry L. Johnson & Associates with experience in the critical environment industry since 1992. With his decades of experience, Kevin has built a reputation for providing top-tier customer service and efficiency in his work. Kevin is the co-inventor of the LiveLift® system for raised access floor remodeling. He’s also the co-inventor of the patented Quantum Air Tile®. Kevin enjoys traveling with his wife and daughter and visiting Disney World. He’s an avid golfer and loves spending time on the course.
